Park Slope Apartment Combination

When a couple with a one bedroom apartment realized the apartment above them was for sale in their co-op building, they jumped at the chance to double their space. Kalina helped them conceive the new layout include a new floor opening and steel stair to combine the two apartments. The lower level became a renovated kitchen, dining, and living space while the upper floor became two substantial bedrooms plus flexible space with borrowed light at the top of the stair.
